JAMMU, Dec 12: Parade police arrested a snatcher and recovered a stolen purse containing Rs 3960 cash from his possession.
As per police sources, a woman namely Satya Devi, wife of Amar Nath, a resident of Kali Janni lodged a complaint with Parade police post regarding snatching of her purse containing Rs 3960 cash.
Acting on the complaint, a case under FIR number 192/14 under Section 382 RPC got registered with police post Parade and investigation started.
On specific information, police arrested the accused, who has been identified as Joginder Pal alias Pintu, son of Hans Raj of RS Pura, Jammu and recovered the purse along with the said amount.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Parade police post SI Rahul Mahajan made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City North Perbeet Singh, SP City North SKS Chauhan and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
