JAMMU, Sept 10: Pacca Danga Police arrested a purse snatcher within 24 hours.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a lady namely Santosh, wife of Satya Paul of Mast Garh District Jammu with Police Station Pacca Danga stating that an unknown thief snatched her purse in which she had her Redmi phone and some cash near Mast Garh.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 111/22 under section 382 IPC was registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and investigation started.
To work out the case, a team from Police Station Pacca Danga led by SHO Inspector Rakesh Sharma and Incharge Police Post Chowk Chabutra PSI Jyoti Choudhary was constituted under the supervision of SDPO North Sharad Kalu.
The team did strenuous efforts and with the help of CCTV cameras footages of the area finally arrested the accused, who was identified as Abid Ali Chouhan, son of Abdul Majeed of District Poonch.
On his disclosure, the stolen items were recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
