BJP holds public grievance camp

JAMMU, Aug 10: Former Minster and vice president JK BJP, Sham Sharma asked the administration to revisit its decision of installation of smart meters putting the decision on a temporary hold.
He said that the administration should take the senior departmental officials, elected representatives, heads of various social and political organizations on board to find an amicable way to meet the aspirations of the electricity consumers.
Sharma said that the voice of the public should be heard and the matter raised need to be redressed without any wastage of time. Majority of the electricity consumers have been paying the power tariff on regular basis and no one is denying to pay for the services of the PDD but there is an urgent need not to panic the consumers.
Sham Sharma, former Minister and vice-president, J&K BJP, accompanied by BJP secretary, Vikas Choudhary and in charge, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan Dil Bahadur Jamwal, listened to the grievances of a large number of people from different areas of Jammu province.
The BJP leaders were attending to the grievances of public at party Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Visiting people, individually and in deputations, from Ramsoo, Janipur, Channi Rama, Raipur Domana, Gandhi Nagar, Talab Tillo, Patoli, Janipur, Samba, Top Sherkhania, Trikuta Nagar, Kupwara highlighted their problems related to Health, PHE, repair & installation of new lights, repair of link roads, allotment of land under PM Awas Yojana, inadequate supply of drinking water, power cuts, fixing crates along Khuds, release of GP Fund, inclusion of Baba Kailakh Nath Sthan on tourism map and other issues were also presented in the grievances camp.
Sham Sharma, while speaking to the delegations, said that BJP follows the principle of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’. He said that BJP is committed to reach up to the last man living in the most neglected sections of the society. He said that BJP is going ahead with a schedule of public darbar, so that a platform could be provided to the masses where they can directly approach senior leaders of party regarding the public or personal concerns.
