JAMMU, Nov 18: Private candidates of various PG courses in Jammu University have demanded online examinations for them like the regular PG students.
In an appeal to the JU authorities, these students explained that the university has already issued notification of online examinations for the regular PG students whereas for the private students, there was no communication. “Neither the date sheet has been notified nor the mode of examination has been cleared for the private candidates,” they said and added that the private students have equally suffered because of COVID-19 pandemic.
“Private candidates are already late in their academic achievement and no word from university authority has further aggravated their problem. Some are at the verge of overage and some are late in getting degree because of only one are two papers,” they said and urged the Dena Academic Affairs to allow the private candidates to appear in online examination besides giving proportionate marks to those candidates who have re-appear in one or two papers.
