SRINAGAR, Aug 31: Private hospitals and dialysis centers in J&K today alleged that IFFCO Tokio insurance company was not complying with court orders, resulting in further delays in the release of pending funds under the AB-PMJAY-SEHAT scheme.
In a statement issued here, the association of empanelled private hospitals and dialysis centers announced that they will suspend medical services under the scheme starting from September 2.
The association stated, “The High Court had directed IFFCO Tokio to continue with the existing arrangement in the larger public interest as per the terms and conditions of the contract agreement. Unfortunately, they did not comply with the court orders, forcing us to suspend the services from September 2.”
“We have faced non-payment of dues for the last six months, amounting to approximately Rs 160 crore, which has placed severe financial strain on our resources,” the association said, adding, despite the State Health Agency’s written communication to IFFCO Tokio to follow the court orders, the insurance company has not complied.
The association further stated, “We remain committed to the Ayushman Bharat Scheme but until the funds are released, and our suppliers and creditors resume their services, we will only be able to offer services on a cash basis.”
