Pvt Schools apprise Secy Education of their problem

JAMMU, Jan 23: Executive members of central body of J & K Private Schools Association called on Secretary School Education Department, Ajeet Kumar Sahu here today and apprised him of the problems being faced by private schools of the State.
The Association highlighted the issue of 8 percent hike in fee for two years whose base year is kept as August 2014, teething problem in obtaining NOC’s from different departments, delay in granting recognition to high & higher secondary schools on the basis of affiliation etc.
The members demanded amendment in order number 493 FFC of 2018 by allowing all Private schools to enhance tuition fee @ 8% annually w.e.f. April 2019. They also demanded immediate withdrawal of circular No. 18-Edu of 2018 dt 31/12/18 to promote single window clearance system . The deputation also demanded that duration of all essential NOC’s from different departments should be at par with the recognition period granted to a school to save all low budget private schools from exploitation and harassment.
Ajeet Kumar Sahu gave a patient hearing and assured the members to redress their demands before the commencement of new academic session 2019-20 so that all private schools can function without any fear psychosis.
The deputation comprised of Kamal Gupta, Rameshwar Mengi, Ajay Gupta , Sanjeev Luthra, Ram Parkash, Ajay Singh and others.
