JAMMU, Jan 15: Deepak Handa, senior vice-president of Jammu Kashmir Private Schools Association, along with publicity secretary Gaurav Charak, called on Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor and discussed with him the problem of tagging of the private schools which are constructed on own/ proprietary land.
While briefing to the Advisor, JKPSA members said that although Chairman JKBOSE in presence of Dr Piyush Singla, Secretary School Education is going to hold a special affiliation committee meeting on January 29, 2024, owners / sponsors of tagged schools which are constructed on own land may not be able to provide all types of NOCs before January 28, 2024 due to the absence of time bound & single window clearance system.
They demanded that all such schools should be accommodated and allowed to fill RR and examination forms of all board classes on the basis of an affidavit duly authenticated by the first class magistrate and with suitable late fee.
Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor gave a patient hearing and told the members that he would discuss issue of 110 schools which are constructed on own/ proprietary land with the Secretary School Education.
Moreover, he added that a proposal has already been given to Department of Education to channelize a mechanism so that the validity of all required NOCs for affiliation/ recognition should be for three years instead of one year.
