JAMMU, Mar 20: On the official invitation of Justice Sunil Hali, Chairperson Fee Fixation and Regulation Committee (FFRC) JKUT, members of Jammu Kashmir Private Schools Association (JKPSA), Jammu held a discussion with the Chairperson over the circular by Administrative officer (FFRC) Nazir Ul Hussain Shah for the private schools of Jammu & Kashmir.
Chairperson during his deliberation to the members said that some private schools were bypassing the authorized officer to settle their grievances. He instructed all schools to communicate for any clarification only through the official email of FFRC.
Members present in the meeting also apprised the Chairperson of their problems and demands. While briefing, members said that the Fee Fixation Committee was set up in the entire country to protect the interest of the students and that of private unaided schools but it has been noticed that small private schools of Jammu Division are the worse sufferers.
Since 2019 to till date number of files which were submitted through online or in offline mode by the private schools of Jammu division for the fixation of the fee are still gathering dust in the court of the FFRC, they said and added that FFRC has till date targeted only recognized small private schools and had left all big / pre primary/ creche type private schools.
JKPSA members appealed the Chairperson for the immediate disposal of all pending files which have been already submitted in the office of the FFRC for the review / fixation / enhancement of the fee before the commencement of new academic session i.e. 01/04/2024, inclusion of an independent person of a repute or a representative of recognized school association as an expert member as per the provision laid in rules.
Chairperson Fee Fixation and Regulation Committee gave a patient hearing and asked the members to give their memorandum with their genuine grievances and demands so that the same can be settled without any delay.
The members who accompanied the delegation included Kamal Gupta, Ajay Gupta, Deepak Handa, Sat Paul Mansotra, Gaurav Charak, Ajay Singh, Lal Chand Gandotra, Ram Parkash, Vineet Gupta, Rashpal Singh, Krishan Singh and others.
