UDHAMPUR, Dec 25: J&K Private Schools has resented purported tagging of the students in other Government schools from private institution which are functioning on own land or functioning from rented building but could not produce NoCs from different departments.
On the one hand, School Education Department issued a letter no. Edu-Ptsu/107/2021-01(101734) dated December 19, 2023 to Secretary JKBOSE to convey provisional permission to subject to the conditions that Army Goodwill schools shall complete the documentation formalities for the regular registration within the stipulated course of time as per norm but on the other hand, schools which were recognized till 2022 or 2023 are being harassed with the name tagging the students from class 9th to 12th in the nearby Government school despite of giving them time to fulfill their formalities,” said Ajay Gupta, President of the Association, while talking to media persons, here today.
He said that such type of draconian act by the Education Department & JKBOSE for the schools functioning for more than two decades on own land or in rented building is highly condemnable.
Ajay Gupta further said that high and higher secondary schools will automatically become unrecognized with the tagging of Board classes and it will create a new problem of countersignature of the results from class1st to 8th at the end of closure of the academic session 2024 for the Principal/ owner of that school.
On behalf all such schools, he appealed to the Lieutenant Governor to intervene so that students who intend to appear in 10th & 12th in year and session 2024 Annual (Regular) may be allowed to appear as one time exemption for the largest interest of all stakeholders viz the school authorities, students and parents so that they can take appropriate decision for the closure of the school or migration of the students at the beginning of the academic session 2024.
The press conference was attended by Ram Parkash, Vineet Gupta, Seddheshwar Sadotra, Rakesh Gupta, Parshant Salaria, Ankush Verma and Kuldeep Singh.
