Pvt Schools Association supports protest for Dev Lata

JAMMU, Mar 3: Private Schools Association has extended its support to the demand of All J&K Ladakh Teachers Federation for restoring Dev Lata Sharma as Director School Education Jammu.
Decision in this regard was taken during a meeting of the Association, held under the chairmanship of Prof Jia Lal Kotwal who termed Dev Lata as an honest and dedicated officer.
The meet also criticized the Government order on routing applications for inspection, extension in recognition etc of all private schools through the Education Department.
General secretary of the Association Ajay Gupta alleged that the new order would encourage corruption in the Education Department. He appealed the Education Minister Tara Chand to order immediate revocation of this controversial decision and restoration of the old practice under which BOSE was directly approached for inspections etc.
Ajay Gupta also appealed owners of all the private schools to strengthen the PSA at provincial level for affectively highlighting their demands and issues before the Government.
Others who attended the meeting, included Ajay Dev Kotwal, Laddi Sharma, Ghansara Singh, Siddeshwar Sadotra and Samir Saproo.
