PWWA organizes farewell for Vijaya Rajendra

JAMMU, Dec 28: Jammu and Kashmir Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA) today organised a farewell function in honour of its Chairperson K. Vijaya Rajendra here at Police Officers Mess.
On the occasion, speakers highlighted the role of outgoing Chairperson in promoting the welfare of police families. They said that K Vijaya Rajendra with her leadership qualities remained highly interested in taking new initiatives for the welfare of special children and wards of martyrs.  They added that her contribution in coordinating the activities for the welfare of police families has set new trends.
In her address, K. Vijaya Rajendra said that she has been proud to be a member of PWWA and has tried her best to bring changes in the working of the Association. She said that PWWA has been focussing to instil a sense of confidence among the minds of martyrs’ wives and develop skills in them. The Association in coordination with other departments, NGOs with similar objectives, worked for the well being of specially-abled children of police personnel.
She said that the Association also focussed to imbibe cultural values among the police wards and promoted as sense of competition among them.
On the occasion, cultural programme was presented and mementoes were given to the outgoing Chairperson by the PWWA members.
