JAMMU, July 12:  Pradesh Youth Congress activists held massive demonstration at Durga Nagar Chowk in Raipur-Domana constituency against failure of coalition regime here today.
The PYC activists under the leadership of  Pranav Shagotra, state president of  the PYC along with Satish Sharma- PYC general secretary,  Charanjeet Singh- Lok Sabha president, Chetan Wanchoo, Sandeep Singh assembled at Durga Nagar ( Ban Talab) here and started protest.
The protest was organised by Hoshiyar Singh Chib, general secretary  Lok Sabha and Ravi Kant Seth, Assembly president Raipur- Domana.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Shagotra lambasted the PDP-BJP Coalition Govt for betraying people of the State. He said that miseries of the common masses are compounding with every passing day but ministers of the coalition regime are not concerned to solve day- today problems of the commoners.
Pointing towards hardship being faced by the people due to non-availability of basic amenities like power and drinking water to the people in the months of summer, Mr Shagotra said that recent rains have exposed the Government because hundreds of people have been affected by the flash floods but authorities have failed to provide them any relief. Many people have become homeless but authorities have done nothing to provide them shelters.
Terming four and half months performance of PDP-BJP regime as total failure, Mr Shagotra regretted that except promises, nothing has been done to address grievances of the people. He recalled that during campaign of Assembly elections, both PDP and BJP had  promised to provide accountable and corruption- free and people- friendly Government to the people, but these promises remained only on papers.
“Four and half month tenure of this regime, is considered as worst period in the political history of Jammu and Kashmir because both the parties have indulged into playing divisive politics to befool the people. Neither PDP, nor BJP have any agenda for the growth and development of the State so, both the parties have been involved in playing the dangerous politics which would be proved disastrous for the State.
