JAMMU, Oct 18: Pradesh Youth Congress organized a “Yuva Garjana Rally” today at Press Club Jammu against Pakistan for unprovoked  firing across the border.
A large number of PYC activists led by Uma Shanker Pandey- secretary Indian Youth Congress incharge Jammu and Kashmir alongwith Shah Nawaz Choudhary-president PYC, Pranav Shagotra-vice president, Abid Kashmiri-general secretary, Manjit Singh Jatt-general secretary and Rajvir Singh-Secretary assembled at Press Club Jammu and marched towards Tawi bridge.
They were carrying banners and posters in their hands and chanting slogans against Pakistan. They also burnt the effigy of Pakistan Prime Minister. At Tawi bridge Youth activists were intercepted by the Police and cane-charged.
Speaking on the occasion PYC leaders criticized NDA Govt. for its failure to tackle the border issues properly. They said that whenever NDA comes to power, the neighbouring countries show their teeth.
Youth Congress leaders said that due to unprovoked firing by the Pakistan Army, the people residing along the border face lot of hardships. In recent firing many people are putting in camps and they are not getting proper facilities besides the education of children is also affected. They said that it would be better, if all the border families have their shelters in safe places. The Govt should provide 5 marlas plot to each family and also help in construction of shelters.
