PYC chief demands restoration of internet services in State

JAMMU, Sept 19: J&K youth Congress delegation lead by the State president Uday Bhanu Chib met the Deputy Commissioner Jammu and gave memorandum to restore internet facility in Jammu and also put other demands also to bring normalcy in Jammu.
In the memorandum Chib said that the entire State has been in the State of lockout for more than one month which clearly shows that a Constitutional change has been enacted against the wishes of the people. Never ever in the history of the nation reorganization has taken place which shows a blatant attack on our constitution and the freedom of people of the State of J&K.
Chib also questioned the Government for the illegal and unwarranted detention of Congress leaders like GA Mir, Raman Bhalla and many others in J&K without any legal and political justification. Chib said it is totally vindictive discriminatory attitude of the Government on political considerations.
With the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, the permanent residents of J&K stand to lose all special privileges including the right to own property and hold State Government jobs.
Since August 5, 2019, people of Jammu and Kashmir are disconnected from the world due to ban on internet. In today’s world, internet is equally important as food, but it has been snatched from the people of J&K. The Internet connects business with each other, so if it’s not available many business units like e – Commerce, online food delivering system, Logistic system, online payment system, online recharge etc. will shut down.
Students are also facing problems due to non-available of Internet. They are unable to fill their forms on online related to their jobs, educational forms, etc.
Several Government office are also non-functional properly due to non-available of Internet facility resulting in the common suffering.
“We appeal to the Government to take all possible measured to restore the statehood to the Jammu and Kashmir. BJP has downgraded the Jammu and Kashmir by granting Union Territory which has not been acceptable to the people of Jammu region.
The others senior PYC leaders who were present include Ajaz Choudhary Vice President PYC, PYC General secretaries Ricky Dalotra,Ranjeet Chopra, Sahil Singh Langeh and Vishal Chopra.
