KALAKOTE, Mar 11: A meeting of Youth Congress workers, presided over by Wasim Kohli, president, Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC), Kalakote constituency, was held at Block Congress Committee Head Quarter, here today to take account of the problems of local populace.
The meeting was attended by all the presidents, vice-presidents, general secretaries of the panchayats besides the general public who had gathered from all the surrounding areas of Kalakote constituency.
During the meeting, the locals apprised the Youth Congress of their problems and demands including issuance of voter cards, transparency in distribution of old age pension, proper identification of physically handicapped persons to give them maximum benefit, compensation to those, whose houses were damaged by the recent landslides, restoration of power transmission lines, and immediate repair of damaged roads of the area.
Kohli assured people that their problems will be taken up with the administration. He also said that every possible help would be provided to the people living in far-flung areas.
