JAMMU, Feb 14: Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) held protest demonstration against ABVP for creating terror in Jawahar Lal Nehru University.
The activists of Pradesh Youth Congress led by Pranab Shagotra (president) after one day convention of Congress at Raipur-Domana under the leadership of former minister Mula Ram, held strong protest demonstration against the ABVP and alleged that this organization has created terror in JNU at Delhi. IYC national secretary Dr Uma Shanker Pandey also accompanied them. The PYC activists were shouting slogans against the ABVP and its right wing organizations and also burnt its effigy.
They alleged that since its formation, the NDA Govt has been trying to capture various Universities of the country. They also held ABVP responsible for creating further disturbances in JNU and several other educational organizations. After staging protest for some time, they dispersed.
Prominent among those who attended included Rajbir Singh PYC general secretary, Charanjeet Singh Lok Sabha president, Chetan Wanchoo, Sandeep Singh Rissam, Ricky Dalotra, Jagjot Singh, Ravinder Singh, Divyansh and Rama Kant Khajuria.
Earlier Mula Ram addressed the convention and held BJP and PDP responsible for the present political crisis. He said J&K is a sensitive border State and it can not afford such political uncertainty for long. Mr Shagotra and Dr Pandey also addressed the gathering. The function was organised by Hoshiyar Singh Chib Lok Sabha general secretary and Ravi Kant AYC president.
