Sir,
Refer news item, ‘Focus on quality education DE Dec 11, 2013.
The State Government is almost doing everything to provide education to its citizens. Many technical and non-technical institution have come up almost in every district of the State. Even University Campuses have come up at many places.
However, it is said here that these institutions suffer many problems which include those of infrastructure and staff. Most of the Colleges in the State do not have required infrastructure to provide facilities to students in a particular stream. As such students do not get their choice subject in the college. Hence he opts for a college which has this facility or compromises with what is available in the college he seeks admission.
The State Colleges have come under flak for being mere structures whether hired or departmental without having any semblance of being a knowledge hub. These institutions also lack facilities for research. As a result quality education has become a casualty which a nation like India cannot afford at this juncture when it has to compete with a comity of nations who have won worldwide acclaimation for their achievements in education sector.
Yours etc…
