Quality education

Sir,
Since the dawn of civilisation, education has played vital role in development of the society. What type of education is delivered to the children helps in formation of their character and cultivates all intrinsically needed values any human being requires to possess. The existing definition of quality education generally means preparing and enabling  child for better future. Money earning is a sole yardstick in assessing one’s capabilities in this materialistic world. No stress is laid on moral values, which infact, is a glaring defect  in the system of education. A healthy asset of a nation, by and large, are its scientists, doctors, engineers and academicians etc, but  until they are imbibed with virtues like moral principles, nationalism, dedication and loyalty, what the mother land expects them to be, the sole purpose of quality education gets defeated. Therefore, need is to have a separate subject on moral principles in curriculam to educate our youngesters to understand the values and significance of such principles. Until our youth isn’t prepared in this direction, the existing scenario  of corruption and other social and political evils will remain uneradicated.
Yours etc…
