KISHTWAR, Nov 22: To spread the message of communal harmony, tolerance and national integration, Quami Ekta week commenced today at Government Degree College here.
Principal, Dr Shafaqat Hussain Rafiqi in his inaugural address stressed on the need of mutual brotherhood and communal harmony to strengthen the national integration.
As a part of function, the college today distributed blankets among the inmates of the Ashiana Orphanage, Kishtwar.
Among others present were Ramesh Babu, GOC CIF (Delta), 9 Sector Commander Brigadier Hitesh Kohli, Chairman of the orphanage, police, civil administration officials, Prof Pawan Sharma and Prof Faisal Mushtaq.
