DODA, Oct 6: Under the banner of Systematic Voters Education and Electoral participation (SVEEP) a quiz, painting and declamation contest was organized by District Information Centre Doda in collaboration with District Election Office Doda here at Government Higher Secondary School Malothi.
The topic of Quiz competition was India Polity and Constitution and the theme of painting competition was Electoral voting and registration.
As many as 6 teams participated in the Quiz competition whereas 6 students and 5 students participated in the painting competition and declamation contest respectively. In painting competition Nikita of class 9th, Wasim of class 11th and Kashish of class 9th were adjudged first second and third respectively.
In declamation contest Riya Kotwal of class 12th stood first, whereas the second position was jointly shared by Sonia Parihar of class 12th and Manisha Devi of Class 10th and the third position went to Musharraf of class 9th.
Speaking on the occasion, the District Information Officer (Nodal Officer SVEEP) Doda asked all the students to disseminate the message of ongoing process of special summary revision among their peers and families and relatives. He also explained in details various forms to be filled for addition, deletion, correction and transposition of their names in Electoral roll and the formalities to be submitted for the same.
Tehsildar Bhalla, Babu Ram, BDO Bhalla, Nayiem Sheikh, Principal GHSS Malothi, Sudesh Raina, Lecturers, teachers and locals participated in the programme.
Prizes were also distributed among the winners of the competitions.
