JAMMU, Jan 27: Bali Bhagat, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Minister has asked the Congress leader and Member Parliament, Rahul Gandhi to clear stand on the statement of a prominent leader of his party asserting that if Congress comes to power it would give Rs one crore each to the families of the terrorists killed by the security forces.
In a statement issued here, today, the senior BJP leader while questioning the nationalistic credentials of Congress asked Rahul Gandhi whether the spirit behind such anti-national and venomous statements is the ideology of Congress. He lamented that the Congress leader, Shageer Ahmad went to the extent of saying that Congress would see that all the terrorists kept in jails are released.
As if all this was not enough, the shameless Congress leader crossed all the limits by saying that Congress Government would even bring in some new laws so that the officers who killed the terrorists are punished with death sentence.
Bali Bhagat dared Rahul Gandhi to clear the mist and tell the people whether Congress stands with such leader and that their statements represent the Congress ideology. He said it seems that Shageer Ahmad was sent to Jammu by Rahul Gandhi himself with a view to create a conducive atmosphere in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of Bharat Jodo Yatra. He demanded that the Rahul Gandhi should apologies in front of people of Jammu and Kashmir on behalf of his leader.
Bali Bhagat asked Rahul Gandhi to turn back the pages of history and find out who divided Jammu and Kashmir. He said that it was Congress that facilitated Pakistan’s illegal occupation of J&K’s territory which is today known as PoJK and India will sooner than later retrieve it from Pakistan’s forcible occupation. He questioned Rahul Gandhi on his visits and tacit support to the ‘Tukde Tukde Gang’; ‘Award Wapsi Gang, and last but not the least now openly supporting the terrorists.
Reiterating his demand that the Congress clear its stand on this significant issue, Bali Bhagat said that the fact well known to the people especially that of Jammu and Kashmir remains that it is Congress party that has been making every effort to fragment the nation into smithereens by supporting anti national, seditious and separatist elements besides speaking the language of Pakistan and China.
