JAMMU, May 29: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Rahul Kumar of Ward number 20 here today started work of laying tiles at A/D Block in Gandhi Nagar which shall be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 5 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, the Councillor reiterated the commitment of BJP Government at Centre to provide basic necessities to the people in every nook and corner of the country.
He said that BJP always worked for the welfare of people and will leave no stone unturned in this regard.
Kumar said it is his priority to serve the residents of his Ward by improving the infrastructure there and by making the Ward neat and clean to promote the vision of Swachh Bharat by PM Modi.
He instructed the officials of JMC to ensure quality work so that the masses may not suffer.
The Councillor also said that there are many more developmental projects in pipeline for the area and the same shall be taken up in a phased manner.
BJP Mandal general secretary, Rachit Khosla; District publicity secretary, Sandeep Gupta; Ward president, Satbir Singh; Sandeep Sethi, Karan Singh, Manjot Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
