NEW DELHI :  Amidst high expectations of much better amenities in the trains and Railway stations without pinching pockets of passengers, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu will present the Annual Budget in Parliament tomorrow.    Mr Prabhu, who has built for himself reputation of a professional performer, is likely to lay a clear short-term and long-term road map for expansion and modernization of the railways, one of the top priorities for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Prime Minister’s pet project of High Speed Trains with involvement of global investors may see a lot more clarity in terms of implementation, according to officials.    While no big bang announcements may be made with regard to new trains, the number of Jansadharan Express may be increased for easing the drudgery of those travelling in unreserved trains. The move will be of great benefit to lakhs of migrant workers particularly from eastern India, the officials added. (AGENCIES)
