KATRA, June 10: A Railway Inspector was arrested here today for illegal possession of huge quantity of liquor.
Sixty two pouches of J&K Excise liquor were seized from the office of Ajay Kumar, who is Inspector in Operation and Freight Wing of The Railway Department and deals with Mechanical system. Posted in Katra, the accused is a resident of Bihar.
According to SSP Railway, Ashok Sharma, the raid on office of the accused Inspector was conducted by the Police on a specific information. The accused Inspector has been detained and a case under Section 48 Excise Act and 188 RPC has been registered against him, the SSP added.
