JAMMU, Dec 24: State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has welcomed the decision of the Central Government of clearing Railway Project to Poonch , which is likely to be announced in Railway Budget . The decision is result of sustained efforts by State unit of the party, BJP State chief spokesperson Advocate Sunil Sethi said in a handout issued here, today.
He said the railways project will connect major towns and will usher in new era of development in this region. This dream project which will lead to life changing progress for the people living in this far flung areas, is result of realistic developmental approach by Modi Government, he added.
Sethi, while congratulating the people of Jammu province for the big boost to the far flung areas and connected all regions of Jammu province for inclusive growth and development, said that with the rail connectivity it will be easier to make available best health care , emergencies, industrial and educational activities in these areas .
Sethi further noted that much progress has been made In Jammu and Kashmir since coming to power of Modi Government at the Centre and lot many projects have been specially conceived for the State. He said that there is urgent need of laying similar railway track to Doda Kishtwar too so that progress and development reaches the last corner of the State.
BJP chief spokesperson further said that because of these areas being far flung , opportunities had come in hands of enemies of nation , terrorists , separatists and even some main stream political groups owing proximity to separatists to spread hatred and divisive thinking in these areas . Getting connected to national mainstream through rail network will ensure non exploitation beside reducing prices of commodities and making it convenient and possible to supply local produce outside
Sethi also praised the Governor administration for undertaking lot many steps to meet expectations of people and conceding their long pending demands. He requested the State administration to provide State of the art medical facilities which are available in the big cities by establishing Medical City in Jammu by inviting big players in the field from outside to provide modern Health care and competitive prices.
