Railways continues drive against without ticket travelling

JAMMU, Apr 9: Continuing its special drive against travelling without ticket, Railway team today conducted surprise inspection of trains and booked erring passengers.
A specially constituted ticket checking squad, led CMI Pasvir under the overall guidance of Station Director Uchit Singhal, inspected Malwa Express from Jammu to Pathankot and way back, during which 73 passengers were booked for travelling without ticket in the train. A penalty to the tune of around Rs 35, 880 was collected from the erring passengers.
Station Director Uchit Singhal said that such drives are very important to bring a sense of discipline in the public as without ticket travel does not only mean financial loss to the exchequer but is important for the safety, security and comfort of the bonafide Railway passengers.
