JAMMU, July 10: The rain in many parts of Jammu brought some respite from scorching heat during this evening.
The winter capital city and mostly plain areas of Jammu were reeling under intense hot weather conditions for the last couple of days. Thunder-shower this evening, in some parts of Jammu, brought down the temperature, providing some relief to the people here. It rained heavily for over an hour and drizzling continued till late this evening.
A Met spokesman said that Monsoon rains are gradually showing its impact all over the region now. Even during the night and tomorrow many parts of Jammu division and parts of Kashmir would experience from moderate to heavy rain. A shap fall in the temperature was experienced this evening after thundershower. The water logging was also witnessed at many crossings and low lying areas of Jammu city, affecting smooth flow of traffic on city roads.
