JAMMU : Rains lashed today and fresh snowfall was reported in world famous tourist spot Patnitop, while cold conditions continued in this winter capital of the state. Drizzle and slight showers lashed the city this morning, bringing respite from the fog-hit conditions. The cold conditions, however, intensified further due to rains and fresh snowfall at higher reaches and at Patnitop along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
The minimum temperature here in the past one week is fluctuating between 5.5 degree Celsius to 6.5 degree Celsius in the region.
According to an official of MeT Section, the temperature across the state will further dip, while more rain and snowfall is predicted in the coming days.
