SRINAGAR, April 17: With below normal temperatures continuing in Jammu and Kashmir, the Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Wednesday predicted another spell of rain and snow over the next two days.

The Met office said that light to moderate rain, light snow over higher reaches is expected at most places with thunder and lightning during Thursday and Friday in Jammu and Kashmir.
The weather is likely to remain dry and partially cloudy on Wednesday, it said.
It is likely to be generally dry from April 21 to April 25 but afternoon thundershower activities cannot be ruled out, it added.
Barring a few stations the night temperature was recorded below normal in the Kashmir Valley on Wednesday. The day temperature was also recorded 2-4 degrees Celsius below normal in all weather stations of Kashmir on Tuesday.
The minimum temperature recorded in Srinagar during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday was 9.4 degrees Celsius. It was 1.5 degree Celsius above normal for the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir during this period of the season.
Pahalgam recorded a low of 2.1 degrees Celsius against the 8.1 degrees Celsius the previous night and it was 1.3 degrees below normal for the south Kashmir’s tourist spot.
Kupwara was at 6.2 degrees Celsius and it was 0.6 degree below normal for the frontier north Kashmir district.
Gulmarg had a low of 1.6 degrees Celsius against the 3.2 degrees Celsius recorded on previous night and it was 0.7 degree below normal for the ski resort of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, the MeT office said.
