JAMMU, Dec 11: Popular Kasturi and Nikka Halwai on Sunday opened its third outlet at Gandhi Nagar to continue the legacy of famous Suchi and Puri, an old-days Dogra cuisine which was the part of the Dorga functions are now available at few halwai shops of city.
Kasturi and Nikka Halwai started their sweets shop way back in 1930 at Kanakmandi in Jammu and always a popular name in the sweets and snacks. Suchi and Puri was their specialty and they were always known as the master of the dish.
The new outlet was today inaugurated by Ravinder Raina, UT President BJP along with Baldev Singh Billawaria, Dy Mayor Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Raina praised and appreciated the family for the extension of their new sweets shop and wishes for their success in the future days.
Rajesh Gupta thanked and welcomed the guests and assured to maintain the quality and hygiene in their sweets and other eatables.
