JAMMU, Feb 6: Ravinder Raina, president, BJP, J&K, and Ashok Koul, general secretary (organization), today flagged off “Bharat Rice” vans here from BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, .
BJP vice-presidents, Yudhvir Sethi, Shakti Singh Parihar, Pawan Khajuria and Anuradha Charak, general secretary, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, former Minister, Priya Sethi, former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia, former MLC. Vikram Randhawa, and other party leaders also graced the occasion.
On the occasion, it was shared that in Jammu & Kashmir, Bharat Rice at the discounted price of Rs 29 per kg is being distributed through Sarveshwar Group.
Sarveshwar Group led by its chairperson Rohit Gupta, Pooja Gupta, Anil Sharma, Mahadeep Singh Jamwal, Dr. Rakesh Gupta, and other company representatives, had organized the event.
Ravinder Raina, while flagging off the vehicles, said that the Union Government led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is concerned for the poor and the needy population. He said that the Modi Government, which has established itself as the Government concerned for the masses, has taken decisive steps in the last about 10 years for the benefit of the needy population. He, on the occasion, complimented PM for taking one more decision in favour of the residents of this nation.
Raina said that besides providing free ration to more than 80 crore population in the country and 60 lakhs in Jammu & Kashmir, the Modi Government earlier decided to provide Atta (flour) and Dal at a discounted price. Going, a step further, Raina said that now the Modi Government has taken one more public-friendly decision to provide rice at the discounted price of Rs 29 per kilogram.
Ashok Koul, speaking on the occasion, said that the subsidized rice will be available in 5 kg and 10 kg packs, as the Government wants to ensure that daily food items are available at affordable rates for the common people.
Rohit Gupta , chairman of Sarveshwar Group of Companies said Sarveshwar Foods Ltd is the first private sector NSE listed company J&K with over 130 years of experience which was empanelled for the distribution of packaged subsidised rice under the brand name Bharat Rice in J&K and Ladkah region.
He said the company is being operated by professionals under the overall supervision and guidance of the Board. He said the group under his chairmanship has been recipients of various awards. Rohit Gupta also elaborated the journey of the company from a small industrial unit to a NSE /BSE listed company having its offices in India as well as abroad.
Rajeev Charak, Arvind Gupta, Veenu Khanna, Parmod Kapahi, Sanjay Baru, Balbir Ram Rattan, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Prof Kulbhushan Mohtra, Roshan Choudhary, Haroon Choudhary, and other party leaders were also present on the occasion.
