Raina for creating egalitarian society

UDHAMPUR, Apr 15: In an impressive and colorful function organised at Battal ( Majalta) by SC Cell of BJP Majalta in connection with ‘Ambedkar Jayanti’ celebrations, Ravinder Raina, president BJP J&K called for creating an egalitarian society where justice economic and social is secured for all.
The function started with ‘Bhim Vandana’. Floral tributes were offered to the pioneer of equality, Bharat Ratna, Dr. B.R.Ambedkar. Raina repeated golden assertion of Baba Saheb that ‘rulers henceforth shall not be born from the wombs of Maharanis after the enactment of Constitution’. Rather they shall be chosen amongst the people and by the people.
Devinder Kumar Manyal, general secretary J&K BJP and former Minister also spoke on the occasion and threw light on the life struggles and achievements of Baba Saheb and his role in upliftment of SCs. Making a pointed reference to certain vested interests who are out and out to distort Ambedkar’s philosophy for their political gains, he said that Dr. Ambedkar laid thrust on the universal, holistic and cosmopolitan survival of Indian society and the State. Baba Sahib had dreamt of a caste- free, women empowerment and emancipation and pro-labour friendly India and we all should strive towards holistic achievement of the same.
Spokesperson BJP and former MLA Ramnagar, Ranbir Singh Pathania threw light on the various aspects of Ambedkar philosophy in an impressive fashion. The atmosphere was charged with slogans – ‘Jai Bhim’ ‘Baba Saheb Amar rahen’.
Pathania said that Baba Sahib was a jurist, economist, politician and social reformer who stimulated Dalit Buddhist Movement and campaigned against social discrimination against untouchables and also supported the rights of women and labor.
While highlighting  various endeavours  made during his tenure as elected legislator of Ramnagar, he said that he made it a point that almost all the SC/ST habitations are given road connectivity and a viable electricity connection.  While Highlighting the Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan and adoption of as many as ten villages of Ramnagar, Sunal, Tajoor, Noul, Lehar, Upper Balota, Surni, Dalsar, Panjgrain, Birnu, Dudu, under this programme in the area of Ramnagar, he informed that the campaign aims at making the villages saturated in seven flagship pro-poor programmes – Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (clean cooking fuel), Saubhagya Ujala scheme (LED lights), Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (financial inclusion), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (life insurance), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (accident insurance) and Mission Indradhanush (health mission).
