‘Modi Govt committed to welfare of Tribals’

JAMMU, Nov 15: BJP J&K UT president, Ravinder Raina who unfurled 140 feet National Tricolor at Sarnoo village near LoC in Rajouri district today said the day is not far away when Indian Tri Colour will be unveiled in PoJK which too is the integral part of India and is under forcible occupation of Pakistan.
Raina, while addressing a mammoth public rally on the occasion of Tribal Day today said India is committed to free PoJK from Pakistan as Joint Parliamentary resolution of 1994 is a testimony to the fact. He said in PoJK 80 percent people belong to Pahari community while 20 percent are Gujjars and Bakkerwals who are facing atrocities through the hands of Pakistani Army and police. They want to get free from their clutches and the day is not far away when Indian flags will be unfurled in Mirpur, Kotli, Bimber and Muzafarabad, he added.
He complimented the Narendra Modi Government for solving the problems of Gujjars and Bakkerwals, Gaddi Sippy and other Tribal communities in the UT of J&K who were deprived of their rights for seven decades by the successive NC and Congress governments. He said Modi restored the rights of these communities by giving them rights on forest land , implemented the act to prevent atrocities on SC, STs, nominated Ghulam Ali Khatana to Rajya Sabha besides solving the other problems of the Tribal community so that they can lead a dignified and progressive life.
Raina said besides, both PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah gave right to ethnic Pahari community of the UT.
Maintaining that Gujjars, Bakkerwals and Paharis are most patriotic people who always fought the national unity and integrity, against Pakistani invaders and terrorists, Raina said Modi Government is committed for their welfare and betterment so that they can lead an honourable and dignified life in the society.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Vikas Kundal said the LG administration has taken many measures for the welfare of the Tribal people in J&K. He said many schemes have been launched for the development of Tribal areas and welfare of these people in the UT.
BJP general secretary and ex MLC, Vibodh Gupta, Ex-MLC, Surinder Choudhary, Rajinder Gupta, Dinesh Sharma, Bharat Bushan Ved, Vipan Mehta, Rakesh Raina, Sorabh Sharma, Qayoom Mir, Ahsan Mirza, Iqbal Malik, Rajinder Sharma and Rashid Choudhary spoke on the occasion.
