JAMMU, Sept 28: A delegation of National Mazdoor Conference, led by Rajan Babu Khajuria, called on Chief Engineer M&RE, PDD, Ashwani Gupta and discussed with him various issues of the PDD employees.
Rajan Babu apprised the Chief Engineer about the problems being faced by the PDD employees and demanded implementation of SRO-59 for regularization of daily wagers at par with Kashmir region. He lamented that the daily wagers, who are backbone of the department, have been living in extremely miserable condition with only hope that the Government would regularize them. Rajan Babu requested the Chief Engineer to prepare a list of the daily wagers and send it to the Government with a recommendation for regularizing them.
The Chief Engineer listened to the issues and assured all possible help to the NMC leader.
The delegation comprised of Sunil Kochhar, Mangal Dass, Anil Singh Slathia, Rakesh Gupta and others.
