JAMMU, Mar 12: Sarv Shakti Sena (SSS) today slammed Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for its proposal to hike the price of water tankers up to Rs. 1000 in the ensuing Summer months.
Reacting sharply against the decision which is on cards, Rajan Gupta president, J&K Sarv Shakti Sena said that the reports with regard to this hike are unfortunate as the JMC is working like a private commercial establishment leaving no stone unturned to earn profit from the people.
“It is surprising that JMC is all set to cash in on water shortage which at the first place is caused due to Government’s inefficiency in supplying water to all households”, he said and vowed to fight any such move tooth and nail. Giving vent to his annoyance, he said that Sarv Shakti Sena activists will come on roads if the Government will move forward with this decision which is arbitrary and totally unjustified.
