*Transfers Rs 155 cr in bank accounts of over 36 lakh beneficiaries

JAIPUR, July 27: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today said that the work done by the State Government in the last four and a half years by partnering in the happiness and sorrow of the people of the State is unprecedented and it is being discussed in every household.
He said that the State Government is organizing Inflation Relief camps to provide respite to the people of the State from inflation, in which benefits of 10 public welfare schemes are being given including domestic gas cylinders for Rs 500.
Gehlot was addressing the beneficiaries in the State level Beneficiary Dialogue of Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme organized at his official residence on Thursday. He transferred Rs 155.92 crore to 36.76 lakh beneficiaries with the click of a button.
Under this scheme, a sum of Rs 7.32 crore was transferred to the remaining 1.72 lakh consumers for the month of April, Rs 70.86 crore to 16.71 lakh consumers for May, and Rs 77.73 crore to 18.33 lakh consumers for June month. A total of Rs 155.92 crore was transferred to 36.76 lakh consumers.
This was the second phase of transferring the benefit of the consumer registered in the Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme. Earlier, the Chief Minister had transferred approximately Rs 60 crore to around 14 lakh registered consumers.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government is fulfilling every promise it made with the resolve for public welfare whether it is of free electricity, employment, social security pension and health insurance.
Gehlot said that today the common man of the country is facing a difficult time due to inflation and unemployment. The Central Government implemented the Ujjwala Scheme, but the price of the gas cylinder constantly increased and reached Rs 1150. Similarly, the price of tomatoes reached Rs 150 per kilogram. He said the Central Government should take steps to provide relief to the general public from inflation.
“Rajasthan is the first state in the country where minimum income has been guaranteed by making a law. He said that around 1 crore single women, elderly and disabled people are given Rs 1000 pension under social security pension scheme in the State,” he added.
Food and Civil Supplies Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said that the State Government during the corona period did better management and fulfilled the resolution of ‘No One Sleeps Hungry’.
Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) Chairman SDharmendra Rathore, Rajasthan Farmer Commission Vice Chairman Deepchand Khairiya, Dang Area Development Board Chairman Lakhan Singh Meena and many others were present on the occasion.
