KATHUA, Feb 8: Continuing its endeavor to thwart the evil designs of the bovine smugglers, district Police Kathua once again succeeded in foiling another bovine smuggling bid in the jurisdiction of Police Station Rajbagh and rescued 11 bovine animals.
According to police late last night, a team of Police Station Rajbagh led by Inspector, Sarbjeet Andotra SHO Police Station Rajbagh along with ASI Ram Chand under the direct supervision of Dy.SP Raghubir Singh SDPO Border laid naka at NHW near DPS road.
The police intercepted one truck bearing registration number JK02AG 8117 carrying bovine animals which was on way from Punjab towards Jammu. During checking of the vehicle, Police rescued 11 bovine animals being smuggled in it. Police team seized the vehicle but the driver managed to escape taking advantage of darkness.
A case FIR No 26/2018 U/S 188 RPC ,3 PCA Act stands registered at PS Rajbagh.
The drive was carried out under the overall supervision of Sanjay Parihar Additional SP Kathua under the directives of SSP Kathua, Suleman Choudhary.
