KATHUA, Nov 29: In continuation to drive launched by the District Police Kathua to nab the drug peddlers Raj Bagh Police has recovered 50 bottles of Punjab Excise Liquor at a naka today from a Maruti car.
The police that said on a specific information, a party of Rajbah police led by Ajay Singh Jamwal, SHO of the Police Station assisted by Incharge Police Post Marheen under the direction of SDPO Border and overall supervision of Pawan Parihar, SSP Kathua laid a naka at Chak Nathan and intercepted a Maruti car bearing registration No. JK08B-0470 and on checking of the vehicle recovered 50 bottles of Punjab Excise liquor.
The Police arrested two persons namely Surjeet Singh S/o Bishan Dass R/o Bambang Tehsil & District Pathankot and Dharam Paul S/o Hari Dass Tehsil & District Pathankot.
In this connection, a case under FIR No 262/2016 U/S 50(1) Excise Act has been registered against the accused persons at P/s Rajbagh and investigation is going on.
