JAMMU, Aug 3: Jammu East MLA and Party chief whip in State Assembly, Rajesh Gupta today inaugurated the lanes and drain work of Talab Khatikan, Jeevan Shah Mohalla and Jatkatian Mohalla. The total estimated cost of the work is Rs 10.50 lakh.
The MLA was accompanied by JMC officials on the occasion. The prominent persons of the area Saleem Khan, Din Mohammed, Shabeer Shah, Nawab Khan, Attar-ur-Rehman, Showkat Bhatti, Kala, Mubariss Khan, Jahangir and Nikku were present during the inauguration.
In his address Rajesh Gupta said that the BJP Government at the Centre and the State is the best combination for the growth and development of the State. He said that this is the time when we must devote our complete energies towards the building of our great nation. He said that our rivals may try all the tricks but they would not be able to stop the march of the nation towards world leadership.
The BJP leaders who accompanied the MLA included Karan Singh, Daleep Gupta, Ramesh Sharma, Rajeev Bhardwaj, Subash Gupta, Girdhari Kandhari, Prof Shyam Rajesh, Gopal, Raj Kumar, Rajinder, Chamanlal, Rajesh Nischal, Vinay and Hariom.
