RAJOURI, Aug 8: Rotary Club Rajouri Grand held an impressive installation ceremony of its board today at a simple and impressive function in Rajouri town.
Rajesh Sharma took over as new president of the Club during the ceremony, where as Sachin Vaid as the new Club secretary.
The newly elected president said this year, the Club would focus on basic education, adult literacy, community development, environmental and health hazards, conflict amongst adolescents and maternal and child healthcare.
The chief guest on the occasion of installation ceremony was Rohit Oberoi, District Governor whereas HS Jogi, District Chair Sanitation was also present. Oberoi congratulated the Club for the commendable activities being undertaken in the recent years.
The installation ceremony witnessed handing over charter by outgoing president Amardeep Singh (2022-23) to incoming president Rajesh Sharma (2023-24). Rohit Oberoi congratulated and conveyed his best wishes to the new president and his committee members for yet another eventful year.
The new secretary, Sachin Vaid announced the action plan of the Club for the Rotary Year 2023-24. On the occasion, all the members of Rotary Club Rajouri Grand were also felicitated for their outstanding contribution for the development of Club and serving the needy.
On this occasion, chartered president Lokesh Bakshi, Rakesh Gupta, Navneet Bahri, Ankur Gupta, Umesh Sharma, Komal Bakshi, Dr Javid Choudhary, Amit Sawhney, Rohit Gupta, Rafiq Mir and others were also present.
