Rajinder Singh Bubby resigns as Councilor

KATHUA, Dec 17: The Municipal Councilor of Ward No 2 Kathua, Rajinder Singh Bubby, younger brother of former Minister, Ch LAL Singh resigned from the post and position as councilor as he was holding two official positions which he was not entitled to as per law.
He has submitted his resignation to Chief Executive Officer, Municipal Council Kathua , Sanjeev Gandotra today for further course of action and acceptance. The Ward No 2 is the residential area of Ch Lal Singh and Rajinder Singh Bubby had defeated BJP candidate, Shashi Sharma with a big margin. But he was holding two posts in the Government organizations and could not do so as per rules and he resigned from one post. Bubby is also Chairman of Cooperative Society, Kathua and he is holding this post for last three years.
He was also candidate for the post of chairman, Municipal Council Kathua but was defeated by BJP candidate, Naresh Kumar with six votes. The BJP also objected holding of two posts in Government organization by him. After submitting the resignation to CEO Municipal Council, Kathua, Rajinder Singh said that as per rules he can’t hold the two posts and hence he submitted his resignation. He said he wanted to be Chairman of the Municipal Council, Kathua but was defeated. He assured the residents of Ward No 2 to take care of them and will always remain in touch with them. With his resignation, the post of Municipal Council Ward No 2 Kathua has fallen vacant and Chief Electoral Officer will take decision on holding fresh elections to it.
