Rajnath lauds security forces for killing militants in Kathua attack

NEW DELHI: The Government condemned the terrorist attack on a police station in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir today and hailed the bravery of security forces for gunning down two militants.
Making a statement during Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said he just received information that the two terrorists were gunned down by the Jammu and Kashmir police and the CRPF.
He said one civilian was also killed and four policemen were injured in the gunfire which began at 0620 hrs. “I express my sympathies for the civilian who was killed in the incident and also praise the forces for their act of bravery in killing the terrorists,” Mr Singh said. Congress leader in the House Mallikarujan Kharge raised the issue in the house and charged the government with ignoring repeated incidents of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. (AGENCIES)
