JAMMU : BJP president Rajnath Singh will address an election rally in Udhampur, 65 kms from here, on April 15.
BJP MP and in-charge of party affairs in Jammu and Kashmir Avinash Rai Khannna today Singh will address the rally in support of party candidate from the Udhampur Lok Sabha seat Jatinder Singh.
Khanna said BJP has been concentrating on the seat and the party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi had addressed an election rally at Hiranagar in the constituency, followed by actor-turned-politician Vinod Khanna at Kathua.
He said after record polling in the state’s first phase polling, the morale of BJP activists is high and Singh’s rally will further boost it.
Khanna said the time has come when a new chapter in the history of Jammu and Kashmir is going to be written when Modi take over as Prime Minister. “Modi will take forward the legacy of Atal Bihari Vajpayee,” he said, adding that focus would be laid on peace with Pakistan and uniting the separated families in the valley.
