JAMMU, Apr 11: All India Rajput Ekta Manch has appealed the entire community to boycott the scheduled Lok Sabha elections and not vote for any political party as all these parties have allegedly ignored Rajputs since independence.
Talking to media persons, here today, Chairman of the Ekta Manch, Yashpal Singh Manhas said that despite their sacrifices in defending the culture and country since centuries, Rajput families remained ignored by the successive Governments after independence.
“Majority of Rajputs in the country are living below poverty line and they cannot afford even two times meal in a day. They are unable to pay school fees for their wards and don’t have any reservation for jobs,” he said and drew attention towards plights of the community members because of their poor financial conditions.
Manhas stressed that in view of their miserable living condition, Rajput community needs assistance, help and reservation, but no political party ever raised the voice for them.
“Therefore, All India Rajput Ekta Manch appeals the entire community to boycott ongoing Lok Sabha polls and not to vote for any political party as they have ignored the miserable condition of Rajputs after the Independence,” said Mr Manhas.
