Rajput Sabha delegation calls on DC Samba

JAMMU, Mar 27: Shri Amar Kshtriya Rajput Sabha, district Samba has demanded immediate implementation of Government order regarding inclusion of Mandis and villages in the Municipal Committee Samba.
A delegation of the Sabha led by its  president Capt (retd) Inder Singh Sambyal and  general secretary, Gurjeet Singh called on District Development Commissioner ,Samba, Rajinder Singh Tara in this regard and submitted a memorandum to him in  which various other demands were also highlighted.
The memorandum said that over a year has passed since the issuance of the order regarding inclusion of Mandis and villages in the Municipal Committee Samba but the same has not been implemented till date by the concerned authority.
It said moreover some villages like Mandi Kehli which is under the occupation of the Army have not been included under MC Samba and these villages should also be brought under the ambit of Municipal Committee, Samba.
The memorandum also demanded immediate payment of rent of two years to the people of Mandi Kehli which is under the occupation of Army. The Army has released the rent to the Revenue authorities since and the same is lying with them. It is requested that the rent be also paid immediately in this regard.
Turning the attention of DC Samba towards the insanitation in Samba township, the memorandum said that the lanes and drains in the area are stinking and immediate steps be taken for cleaning the same. Besides the renovation of Samba Fort be also intensified which is going on snail’s pace, it added.
