Rajput Sabha releases widow pension

JAMMU, July 28: Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha today organized a program under the chairmanship of President Bishan Singh at the Sabha office in Purani Mandi wherein widow pension amounting Rs 2.14 lakh was released.
On behalf of the Rajput Sabha, the four-month pension was released in favour of 105 widow women.
Speaking on the occasion, Bishan Singh said that the objective of this scheme is to help such women, who are unable to earn livelihood by their own means and need financial assistance from the Sabha. The rate of pension, which was Rs 50 per month at the beginning of the scheme, has been increased to Rs 500 per month, per beneficiary from the last few years, he added.
Vice President of the Sabha, Jagdish Singh, Shamsher Singh, Virender Singh, Baldev Singh, M S Jamwal, Mangleshwar Singh, Sukhdev Singh and others were present on this occasion
