JAMMU, Sept 23: A large Sammelan of Rajput Biradri will be held on September 25 at 10 am in MAM Stadium, Jammu in connection with celebration of 122nd birth anniversary of late Maharaja Hari Singh Ji.
This was disclosed by Narayan Singh, president, Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha, J&K, while addressing a press conference here today. He informed that during the programme, all those sports men, who had excelled in various sports at National and International levels and won laurels for the J&K State, will be honoured.
Singh informed that the Sabha usually celebrate birth anniversary of late Maharaja Hari Singh Ji on September 23 but this time we decided to celebrate this on Sunday, September 25, so that Biradri members from other districts of the State may also attended the function.
He further revealed that Dr Karan Singh, Member Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Chairman, Committee on Ethics, will be the chief guest on the occasion while Chowdhary Lal Singh, Minister for Forest and Environment, will preside over the function.
“Besides, prominent Biradri members and presidents of Rajput Sabhas of various States such as Gujarat, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Punjab will be attending the function”, he added and appealed general public and the Rajput Biradri in particular to participate in the function.
