JAMMU, Nov 26: Dr Rakesh Jasrotia, Assistant Professor in Geography from GCW Kathua has been declared as winner for the post of College Teachers Association President (Jammu wing) as final result of CTA election-2019 was announced today at Govt College for Women Gandhi Nagar.
There were three contesting candidates namely Prof D S Manhas from GCW Gandhi Nagar, Prof P S Manhas from GDC Samba and Dr Rakesh Jasrotia from GCW Kathua. The election was held on 22nd of November, 2019 across 73 colleges of Jammu Province. The total votes cast were 1276 out of which Prof D S Manhas, Prof P S Manhas and Dr Rakesh Jasrotia got 459,258 and 555 respectively and 4 votes were declared invalid.
The entire electoral process was superintended by the election commissioners Dr Naveen Anand from GGM Science College and Prof Sunil Uppal from GCW Gandhi Nagar.
