JAMMU, Apr 9: Independent candidate for Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency Rakesh Koul held election meetings at migrant Camp Jagti and appealed the Kashmiri migrants to vote in his favour as political parties have failed to solve their problems.
Koul said that 27 years have passed since the displacement of Pandits from Valley and the leaders of political parties except making hollow promises have failed in ensuring their rehabilitation back in Valley by settling the community in a safe zone there.
He said if elected he will fight for settling of Pandits at a single place in a safe zone in Kashmir and also strive hard for solution of their long pending demands including implementation of PM package in letter and spirit, enhancement of cash relief, restoration of migrants property, declaring distress sale as null and void, restoration of RBA certificates, passage of shrines and temples bill and reservation of posts for KP youth in Government services as well as professional institutions.
Koul who is supported by Sampooran Kashmir Sangthan (SKS) appealed the people to cast their vote on April 12 in large numbers in his favour.
