Rakesh Sharma withdraws from CCB elections, favours Raina

JAMMU, Sept 14: Rakesh Sharma who was the contesting candidate for the post of director in the penal headed by Dinesh Gupta a former Chairman of the Citizen Cooperative Bank (CCB) Limited has withdrawn his candidature in favour of Charanjit Singh Raina.
This was announced by Mr Sharma at a press conference here this afternoon along with Mr Gupta and Raina. Mr Dinesh Gupta also announced the inclusion of Mr Raina in the panel of nine candidates fielded by his group in the elections. He said the ballot of Mr Raina will be 22 instead of 17 which was earlier.
Mr Gupta, who was flanked by other members of his team including Deepak Gupta, Kailash Langer, Karunvesh Gupta, Kauoshal Kumar Gupta, Parshotam Singh Pawar, Parveen Sharma and Virender Singh said that from today they have also intensified their poll campaign for the CCB elections scheduled to take place on September 17 and the results of the same will be announced next day.
Mr Gupta also announced that if elected they will take the CCB to new heights. All the branches of the Bank will be computerized by March 31 next year and all the branches will be brought online. The Bank will also set up ATMs at various places, he added.
Mr Gupta said that his team if voted will construct building for the Central Office of the Bank at a piece of land which has already been allotted to the Bank near JDA Complex Rail head.
He made an appeal to voters to cast their vote in favour of his team and ensure their victory at hustings for the progress and success of the Bank.
